Hays Take On: Pizzeria Lola
Hays Take On: Pizzeria Lola
A long standing favorite on the Minneapolis/Edina border that provides incredible over fired pizzas and craft cocktails
Atmosphere
Pizzeria Lola has everything you’d want and more in a family friendly restaurant. Ample seating space, a fun bar, a great view into the kitchen where you can watch pies in and out of the oven, and even a photo booth in the back to commemorate your trip. The energy is always lively with the close proximity and openness of the kitchen and in the summer the patio lets you enjoy the sunshine with your meal!
What We Had
The menu stays pretty simple with pizzas being the main feature. While they do provide the classics, they also have some incredible adventurous choices that will blow you away. Our go to’s include both a classic and one that’s become a very popular favorite around town even though you might not see it in any other pizza shop. Our classic is the Hawaii-Pie-Oh which takes the classic canadian bacon and pineapple but adds in a kick with some sliced jalepenos, enough heat to feel but not enough to scare anyone off. Our second pick is the Korean BBQ, which is topped with their special Korean short ribs, scallions, tons of arugula, mozzarella, and a drizzle of special soy-chili vinaigrette. Not what you’d find on a traditional pie, but this one is a delight for the taste buds.
The Take
A relative to fan favorites Young Joni and Hello Pizza, Pizzeria Lola is the perfect mix for a fun atmosphere and high quality Za’s!
